I’m so grateful that my father read my star sign right—because I’ve found that my soul is filled with the most joy, and most at peace, when I’m planning journeys for others. It plays right into my skill set: my creativity, my eye for refinement, and my giving nature.
On a more personal level, travel has played an integral role in my own family. Both my father and mother passed away rather young, before my kids got to really know them. I so wish we had made the time for travel together with them then—but I’m making up for lost time by planning journeys for my own family whenever I can.

Growing up in Mumbai, India, I had no idea how much my life would center around travel. In college, I majored in finance, and very soon after graduation I realized that was not where my passions lay.
Not knowing what to do next, my father advised me to earn a graduate certificate in travel and tourism. What made my father suggest a turn toward travel? Well, you could say that he saw my destiny written in the stars. My family, including my father, had always been big believers in “Vedic astrology.” He knew I was born under a sign that would flourish within the world of travel and pushed me in that direction.
And he was right. Over the course of the next 20 years, I built several successful careers within the luxury travel industry, first as a travel advisor for a high-end agency in Mumbai, and then as the owner of a cruise-focused agency once I moved to the states with my husband. While I paused agency ownership to raise our two young children, I still worked as a business travel consultant for major Fortune 500 corporations across the U.S.

My family and I traveled to these exhilarating cities, and I planned the trip to coincide with the Formula 1 race that my husband and son, both F1 fanatics, had been dreaming of experiencing. Watching them live out their F1 dreams was truly heartwarming!
03. DUBAI & ABU DHABI
For a special Spring Break trip, we took our daughter, who was learning French, and our curious son to Paris. Watching our children’s eyes light up as they experienced new things—like spying the Eiffel Tower!—was a heartfelt reminder of the magic of travel.

We celebrated my milestone birthday with a magical 5-day Disney Cruise to the Bahamas! With our closest friends and families by our side, we made memories of a lifetime from the moment we boarded the ship to the final farewell.
